These shows will feature a 45 minute ROVO solo set, followed by a 40 minute System 7 solo set, followed by the main 90 minute PHOENIX RISING combined set

PHOENIX RISING LIVE

Phoenix Rising live, as heard on this album, sometimes uses the techno beats as the rhythmic basic and sometimes uses the live drums, seamlessly morphing from one to the other. This represents some of the most sophisticated blends of electronic beats and completely live playing ever produced, made possible by the musicianship of all eight players.

This project grew out of the live collaboration. One of the starting points was ROVO’s Live reinterpretation of System 7’s trance-techno track Hinotori as a kind of reverse remix, presented on this album in its final album version form. System 7 have also remixed/reinterpreted some of ROVO’s tunes, and these also feature in the combined live set.
